Senior quarterback Cooper Rush has been named Mid-American Conference West Division Offensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.

Rush completed 20-of-33 passes for 352 yards and a Kelly/Shorts Stadium record six touchdown passes as Central Michigan defeated UNLV 44-21 on Saturday.

To go along with his record-setting performance against the Runnin' Rebels, Rush became the second quarterback in CMU history to eclipse the 10,000 yards passing mark in a career. He is now second all-time behind Dan LeFevour.

Rush shared the honor this week with Western Michigan's Jamari Bogan who had 189 yards rushing and two touchdowns in a 34-10 win against Illinois on Saturday.

Last week, Rush took home the honor for the first time in his career after throwing for 361 yards and four touchdowns against Oklahoma State.

The Chippewas travel to Virginia this Saturday with hopes of improving to 4-0 for the first time since 1985.
