Women's hoops team picked to win MAC West, MAC Tournament

Following a loss in the Mid-American Conference Championship game and 22 wins in the 2015-16 season, Central Michigan women's basketball has been picked to win the MAC in the preseason coaches poll.
CMU was selected as the favorite to win the regular season and conference tournament titles, which would earn them a spot in the NCAA Tournament. The Chippewas received all 12 of the first place votes to win the MAC West Division by the MAC coaches.
Sophomore guard Presley Hudson and junior forward Tinara Moore were selected to the preseason All-MAC West Team. Hudson was named Freshman of the Year and was an All-MAC Second Team selection last season.
Women's basketball opens its season at Notre Dame on Nov. 11.
