The Central Michigan field hockey team lost its last game of the season on Friday, falling to Ball State 3-1.

CMU kept BSU scoreless during the first half, but the Cardinals turned the game around in the second half.

Emily Barber scored CMU’s lone goal in the second half.

The Chippewas scored just 12 goals this season. Friday marked CMU’s twelfth straight loss.

“We had our chances and we made several critical errors that significantly impacted the outcome of the game,” said head coach Molly Pelowski.

Pelowski said the coaching staff and team will "evaluate everything that we do within in this program,” during the coming offseason.

The Chippewas final record is 1-17 overall and 0-6 in the Mid-American Conference.

“A single win season is absolutely unacceptable,” Peloswki said. “It will not be like this moving forward.”
