MAC announces record-breaking men's, women's basketball TV schedule
The Mid-American Conference has announced the largest slate of games in men's and women's basketball to be televised in conference history.
The package of games will include over 80 MAC men’s and women's basketball contests that will be televised nationally and regionally in 2016-17.
This includes the following television networks: ESPN, ESPNU, Fox Sports 1 (FS1), CBS Sports Network (CBSSN), American Sports Network (ASN), Buckeye Cable Sports Network (BCSN), and Time Warner Cable Sports Channel (TWCS).
It will be the first time ever that both MAC Men’s Basketball Semifinal games as well as the MAC Women's Basketball Tournament Championship Game will be nationally televised on the CBSSN.
As for the Chippewas, there will be four games nationally televised, according to a press release. Below is a list of four games that will feature both of CMU's basketball teams.
Saturday, January 21st: CMU at Buffalo,12 Noon ET, (BCSN, TWCS, ESPN3) (Women's)
Wednesday, February 1st: Ohio at CMU, 6 p.m. ET, (ASN, ESPN3) (Women’s)
Tuesday, February 14th: Buffalo at CMU, 7 p.m. ET, (ASN, ESPN3) (Men’s)
Saturday, February 18th: Toledo at CMU, 12 Noon ET, (ASN, ESPN3) (Women’s)
Both teams will begin their season on November 11th. The Men’s team begins at home and will take on IU Kokomo at 7 p.m. ET. The Women’s team will hit the road to take on Notre Dame in the Preseason WNIT at 7 p.m. ET.
