'Vampire Suicide' lecture to look at relation between undead and mortality

Central Michigan University's Department of English Language and Literature will host a lecture titled "Vampire Suicide" 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30 in the Charles V. Park Library auditorium.

English professor Jeffery Weinstock will deliver the lecture, drawing from his book "The Vampire Film: Undead Cinema." Weinstock will be examining the phenomena of how often vampires in fiction attempt suicide, and what the frequency of immortal characters seeking to die says about the people who write them.
