Ormondell Dingle is the eighth commit in CMU's 2019 class.

Central Michigan has officially added its ninth 2019 football commit and second from Detroit (Michigan) Cass Technical in three-star safety Ormondell Dingle.

The 6-foot-2, 189-pound defensive back turned down offers from Buffalo, Chattanooga, Iowa State, Northern Illinois, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Temple, Toledo and Washington State to join coach John Bonamego and the Chippewas.

"I felt the most love there, I can play early and I love the environment," Dingle said.

During the midpoint in his recruitment, Syracuse was considered a favorite due to having two former Cass Tech stars on the roster in redshirt freshman defensive end Zach Morton and redshirt sophomore linebacker Tim Walton.

An impressive late recruiting push by Bonamego's team helped secure Dingle and put the team in a great position for his teammate, 2019 three-star athlete Kyron McKinnie-Harper.

Moments after Dingle committed to CMU, McKinnie-Harper tweeted: "Package deal."

"He's on my boat," Dingle said, "Don't worry."

McKinnie-Harper has Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Iowa State, Syracuse, Washington State and Western Michigan in his Top 6. He is ranked No. 1,779 in the nation, No. 155 at his position and No. 42 in Michigan, according to 247Sports composite.

Dingle, a three-star, is ranked No. 2,072 in the 2019 class, No. 152 at his position and No. 47 in Michigan.
