The Central Michigan University Police Department and Regional Emergency Response Team will be conducting active violent incident response training at Calkins Hall from 10:00 AM to 4:00 Aug. 7-9, said Lieutenant Larry Klaus.

A portion of Algonquin Court will be closed while officers utilize the street for training.

"We would ask for your patience and understanding during our training efforts this week and apologize for any inconvenience the training may create for those directly affected," Klaus said. "Training on our campus is an important component in our mission of maintaining a safe campus for our students, faculty, staff and visitors."

There will be signs in Calkins Hall providing notice of the training.
