Kickoff times for Central Michigan's football games against Albany, Wisconsin, Akron and New Mexico State were announced on Thursday.

The Chippewas will open the 2019 season at Kelly/Shorts Stadium against Albany, with a time set for 7 p.m. Aug. 29. Then, first-year coach Jim McElwain's squad hits the road to play Big Ten Conference foe Wisconsin at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 7.

Other game times announced were for two contests at Kelly/Shorts Stadium – 3 p.m. Sept. 14 against Akron and 3 p.m. Oct. 12 against New Mexico State.

CMU will have televised games against Albany (ESPN3), Wisconsin (Big Ten Network), Akron (ESPN+) and Ball State (CBS Sports Network). The homecoming game between the Chippewas and New Mexico State will also be on television, but the network is to be determined.

It's also possible that CMU's Sept. 21 game against Miami (FL) could be streamed on the new ACC Network, which launches Aug. 22.

The Chippewas, who finished 1-11 in 2018 under former coach John Bonamego, take on rival Western Michigan Sept. 28 in Kalamazoo, but a time has yet to be set.
