State confirms second coronavirus case in Isabella County

Isabella County has two confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus.

The second case was confirmed March 24 after the number of confirmed cases in Michigan jumped to 1,791, with 24 deaths, according to the state's website. The second patient does not have a history of travel, said Melissa DeRoche, public information officer of Central Michigan District Health Department.

This comes one day after CMDHD confirmed the first case in the county. The first patient has a history of domestic travel, DeRoche said. No other information is known currently about each case.

Cases have also been confirmed in neighboring counties of Clare, Gladwin, Roscommon, Midland and Montcalm.
