CRIME LOG: Ex-girlfriend drives over lawn recklessly after argument

The following incidents were among those handled by Mount Pleasant Police Department from April 14 - April 30

April 14

An ex-boyfriend and ex-girlfriend were arguing inside their home around 8:14 a.m. when suddenly the 18 year old Shepard woman left the home in a state of anger and started driving erratically. She backed up quickly and smashed into a vehicle behind her then drove over the grass outside the building onto the road. The ex-boyfriend called the police. Officers located her and found her driving recklessly. She was arrested and charged with failing to report an accident and reckless driving.

April 21

Police had contact with a subject for an unrelated investigation and during the process it was found that he was violating a previous probation order and he was then lodged for a violation of probation.

April 25

Police received a report at 10:55 pm. of a possible intoxicated driver. Officers located the vehicle and found that the driver, a 33-year-old Mount Pleasant man, had warrants out for his arrest, so they took him into the station. Officers then suspected that the man was under the influence, so they drew his blood and found that he was intoxicated. So, he was then further charged with driving while intoxicated.
