GALLERY: Central Review Fundraiser

Central Michigan University Central Review hosts a fundraiser Wednesday, April 19, in the Bovee University Center. This fundraiser is from 10am-4pm and includes plants and baked goods.

Professor of the Practice of International Affairs at Johns Hopkins University, Yascha Mounk, speaks about his book "The Great Experiment: Why Diverse Democracies Fall Apart and How They Can Endure" on Tuesday, April 18, in the Sarah and Daniel Opperman Auditorium. This event is sponsored by the Dr. Harold Abel Endowed Lecture Series in the Study of Dictatorship, Democracy, and Genocide. 

GALLERY: Baseball vs Northwood

CMU baseball beat Northwood University 23-13 on Tuesday, March 19, in Theunissen Stadium. This win takes their record to 22-13 on the season.

Faith in Femininity at Central Michigan University hosts period sustainability night Monday, April 17, in Dow Science 108. This event was in celebration of Earth Week where people could come and make homemade reusable pads.  

GALLERY: Softball vs Western Michigan

Central Michigan's softball team defeats Western Michigan 11-2 Sunday, April 16 at Margo Jonker Stadium. The win was secured after senior outfielder Kelsey Alexander hit a walk-off grand slam on a full count with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning. CMU moves to 11-6 in conference play and 21-19 overall.

GALLERY: Baseball vs Ball State

Central Michigan's baseball team defeated Ball State 9-1 Friday, April 14 in Keilitz Field at Theunissen Stadium. With the team now on a two-game winning streak, CMU's record moves to 8-5 in conference play and 19-13 overall. 

GALLERY: Puppy Social

Central Paws and Pre-Veterinary Club host an End of Year Puppy Social Friday, April 14, in the Fabiano, Emmons and Woldt Courtyard. The event was a fundraiser to sponsor a shelter dog and cat from the Humane Animal Treatment Society, an animal welfare non-profit in Mount Pleasant.

Transcend hosts garage sale,  Room 218 in the Bovee University Center on Friday, April 14. The garage sale lasted from 1p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Maroon room. 

GALLERY: Clue Night

Program Board hosts Clue Night Thursday, April 13 in Bovee University Center. Students split into teams and worked together to solve the game, with a prize for the winners.

GALLERY: Drama in the Drama Department Cabaret

Central Michigan University senior Mahlea Maresh and Michigan State University alumnus Mary Green write and star in the Drama in the Drama Department Cabaret Wednesday, April 12, in the Townsend Kiva. This cabaret is about Maresh's coming out story and is performed during CMU's Pride Month.  

GALLERY: Drag Show with Sabin

Drag queens, Betty J Madison, Cherry Poppins, and Vivienne Vondion perform in Drag Show with Sabin Tuesday, April 11 in the Bovee University Center Auditorium. Each queen performed multiple songs and interacted with the audience. Sabin hosted, performed and answered questions during the show. The event followed a Reclaiming Queer Space After Violence panel with the drag queens. The event is one of many events at CMU in celebration of Pride Month. The show was hosted by LGBTQ Services and Gender Equity Programs and the Student Government Association.

CMU baseball beat Hillsdale College 15-6 on Tuesday, April 11, at Theunissen Stadium. This win takes the team's record to 18-13 on the season.

GALLERY: Graphic design capstone open through April 15

The Graphic Design Capstone Experience has its final project in the University Art Gallery open to the public through April 15. The project, focused on the transitional period between school and joining the workforce, is the culmination of almost two semesters of work.

GALLERY: What It Means to be Asian in America Panel Discussion

Central Michigan University student Jacqueline Huynh hosts What It Means To Be Asian In America Thursday, April 6, in Pearce Hall. This event was formatted in the style of Youtube Channel Jubilee Spectrum videos, where a statement is given and participants agree or disagree and explain their stance.  

GALLERY: Ron DeSantis at Midland GOP breakfast

Over 600 people attend the annual Dave Camp Spring Breakfast on Thursday, April 6, at the Great Hall Banquet Center in Midland, Mich. Protesters gathered outside of the event to speak out against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who was the special guest at the breakfast. DeSantis has been openly critical of the LGBTQIA+ community, championing Florida's controversial "Don't Say Gay" bill.

GALLERY: Dogs and Donuts

The Office of LGBTQ Services and Gender Equity Programs hosts a 'Dogs and Donuts' event, Tuesday, April 4 at the Center for Student Inclusion and Diversity in the Bovee University Center. Two therapy dogs were brought in for students to socialize, pet the dogs, and eat donuts.

GALLERY: Baseball vs Bowling Green

CMU's baseball team fell to Bowling Green 3-12 Friday, March 31 in Keilitz Field at Theunissen Stadium. After CMU took the lead with one run in the fourth, Bowling Green outscored CMU in each inning after. CMU is now 4-3 in conference play and 13-11 overall.
