Rugby Rebels at the Isabella Community Soup Kitchen

The CMU Rebels Rugby team, along with the help of numerous other teams, companies, and families, tripled last year's donation and donated over 1680 lbs of canned goods to the Isabella Community Soup Kitchen on Apr. 12, 2016.

Greek Athletic Games 2016

CMU sororities and fraternities joined together for Greek Week Athletic Games in McGuirk Arena, Tuesday, April 12, 2016. The arena was filled with high energy and rowdy cheers as everyone cheered for their greek team. The competition began with a relay race that consisted of a egg and spoon race, football through the hoop challenge and dress up relay. Then proceeded with intense musical chairs and a three-legged race and competition. The event concluded with a volleyball game and Zeta Chi taking the win.

Relay for Life 2016

Relay for Life, held in the IAC on April 9, 2016 generated money for cancer research and also allowed hundreds of people in the community to honor those that have been affected by cancer.

University Theatre Presents: 'Marvin's Room'

Central Michigan University Theatre performs 'Marvin's Room' during a dress rehearsal in Theatre on the Side on March 30, 2016. The show will be performed at 7:30 pm on March 31, April 1-2, April 7-9, and at 2:00 pm on April 3 and April 10.

Up All Night 2016

CMU's Up All Night 2016 was held Saturday, March 19 at 11 pm in the Student Activity Center. Students were able to enjoy free food, inflatables, casino-style games, laser tag, raffles and more.

Shamrock Shuffle 5K

CMU's running club put on the first annual Shamrock Shuffle 5k the morning of March 19, 2016. The course ran throughout campus, and the proceeds went toward the teams trip to Nationals in April.

MAC Women's Tournament Final vs. Buffalo

The Chippewas forced overtime and nearly forced double overtime on Saturday in the MAC Tournament Championship.

Buffalo hit an off-balance shot to win as time expired, to hand CMU the 73-71 loss.

MAC Women's Tournament Semifinal vs. Eastern Michigan

The Chippewas overcame a 13-point deficit to defeat Eastern Michigan 86-71 Friday in the MAC Tournament Semifinal. No. 2 CMU will play No. 8 Buffalo at 1 p.m. Saturday for the MAC Tournament Championship.

MAC Men's Tournament Quarterfinal vs. Bowling Green

Despite leading for the majority of the game, the Central Michigan men's basketball team lost the lead in the final minute to Bowling Green on Thursday. BGSU won 62-59, eliminating CMU from the MAC Tournament.

Mid-American Conference Wrestling Tournament | March 6, 2016

The Central Michigan wrestling team took second place at the MAC Tournament Sunday. Redshirt sophomore Jordan Ellingwood won the MAC title at 184-pounds and seven total Chippewas qualified for the NCAA Tournament on March 17 in New York.

Up Til' Dawn

Central Michigan University's Up til' Dawn program raised $23,858 for cancer research on Friday night, Feb. 26, 2016.

Sigma Freeze 2016

Sigma Chi hosted the second annual Sigma Freeze against Sigma Pi on Feb. 19 at Isabella County Ice Arena. Sigma Chi defeated Sigma Pi 6-3. More than $2,000 was raised in donations for cancer research through Sigma Freeze’s fundraising page, days before the event.
