The month of August, for me, has always had an air of anxiety.
There are a lot of reasons to travel, if a person is lucky enough to be able to do so.
Chapter 104 of Central Michigan Life has begun. This student newsroom has remained on campus since 1919 with a sole purpose to be the student body’s voice. There have been years where this mission has wavered — not allowing every student’s voice to be heard, or focusing too much on general university issues rather than the impacts they have on each human demographic we have on campus.
Welcome, everyone, to the "Barbenhiemer" Review! As the meme surrounding these two starkly different films starts to die down, I’d like to give my 2 cents on the phenomena that has been sweeping the world.
"Insidious: The Red Door" picks up where "Insidious: Chapter 2" left off. A decade later, the Lambert family stands broken. The death of Grandma Lambert leaves the family shattered, father Josh is getting a divorce from his wife Renai, and son Dalton is heading off to college.
Are you a geek looking to express your geeky personality? Have you ever wanted to meet some of your favorite movie stars? Have you ever wished you had never sold those toys you had as a kid? Well look no further than Motor City Comic Con to fill these desires!
"Elemental" is Pixar's newest movie to be released to the public. Is it as good as some of Pixar's classics like "Wall-E"? Or does it wet the bed on entry?
"Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny" is the fifth and last movie in the Indiana Jones franchise. It stars Harrison Ford as the famous, fedora-wearing archeologist in an exciting conclusion with new faces, new foes, and a new artifact that could change the course of history.
Ah, summer. It’s the time for eating ice cream at the beach and sharing s’mores around the campfire. And usually for me, the time to become obsessed with self-improvement.
"The Flash" was troubled with production issues from the very start. It took almost 15 years to get this movie made: Several scrapped scripts, multiple director changes and the many civil and criminal allegations against lead performer Ezra Miller have put production in a tough spot. Even worse is that it bombed during its opening weekend (the estimated $220 million production only brought in $55 million in its earliest days), and critics are not happy with the final product.
"Transformers: Rise of the Beasts" is the second movie in the rebooted franchise and it's everything I could have asked for and more!
"Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" cements itself as one of the best animated movies in recent memory and does a fantastic job of carrying Miles' story from the first movie ("Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,") and allowing it to bloom and progress further than any of us guessed it could.
It’s that time of year again where every media source, at least the ones I’m using, bombard users with gift ideas for Father’s Day. Of course, those ideas are limited to domestic-grade construction equipment and all things leather, for some reason.
To celebrate 100 years of the brand, Disney has remade the classic story of "The Little Mermaid" into a live action film for everyone to enjoy. Does it stick the landing on its two feet, or does it drown like the other Disney remakes?
June is just around the corner and 'tis the season -- not for any federal holiday, but for graduation. When I graduated high school around this time last year, what I had been planning for longest was my open house.
I closed out my first year as an undergraduate student at CMU with a long car ride in a vehicle packed full of the items I’ve acquired for my dorm over the course of the last two semesters.
"Evil Dead Rise" is a fantastic return to form for the franchise.
