Dollar Daze is the best place to go for great gifts that are affordable.

This is a one-stop shop where there are gifts for all the people on your Christmas list and all you need to wrap them with. And the best part, everything is a dollar or less.

Christmas socks ranging from $3 to $6 are a cute gift that will put anyone in the Christmas spirit.

For those animal lovers out there, being at college with their pets at home, a fish for $5 to $10 might cheer them up. But don’t forget the food for another $2.

Gift sets with any theme are also available for between $5 and $20.

For chocoholics, candy tins filled with their favorite choice of sweets begin at $6.

Make-up is always an option for the girls on your list because that is another item you can never get enough of. With price starting at $1, your sure to find something affordable and suiting.

“Target is a great place to shop for Christmas presents because you can get things that are trendy and inexpensive,” said Jessica Robbins, Kalkaska sophomore.

In third and fourth places are the CMU Bookstore and the SBX because they are always great places to shop.

It may not be the cheapest, but two words: clearance racks.

For family and friends back home, sporting a Central sweatshirt or T-shirt is not a bad idea.

There is always bumper stickers and shot glasses that would be wonderful for your college-age friends.

“It’s a good idea to get Christmas presents at the book store because that way friends at home can also display their Central pride,” said Megan Buysse, Davison sophomore.

The fifth best place to shop is another one of those one-stop shops, The Dollar Tree.

They have a wide assortment of gifts and all the wrapping paper or gift bags you need, all for $1.

Candles, incense burners, fuzzy and plain picture frames, and hand-painted wine glasses with Christmas designs are just a few of the things they offer.

They also have a wide assortment of toys, art supplies, puzzles, books, games, cards, coloring books, activity books and bubbles.

Other places that you might look to find great Christmas presents without emptying your wallet are Family Dollar, It’s a Dollar, Meijer and Wal-Mart.
