Citizen of the Year

The Mount Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Banquet took place Saturday evening at the Bucks Run Golf Course, 1559 S. Chippewa Road.
The Citizen of the Year award is the most recognized award given at the chamber’s annual banquet.
Barz, a 1967 Beal City graduate and Central Michigan University alumnus, has volunteered for several organizations in the community.
He was selected to the Mount Pleasant Planning Commission and assisted with the United Way of Isabella County, the Volunteer Center and Catholic Family Services.
Barz also is the chairman of both the Central Michigan Community Hospital and the Middle Michigan Development Corp.
