Journalism awards banquet
Cathaleen Curtiss, CMU alumna and director of photography for America Online, speaks at the sixth annual Journalism Awards Banquet Wednesday night at the Comfort Inn Hotel and Conference Center, 2424 S. Mission St. The department honored Curtiss as its Alumna of the Year. She oversees a staff of 50 photographers and has won several national photography awards, including the National Press Photographers Association Photographer of the Year in 1990. The banquet also honored 12 student journalists as scholarship winners.
