Looking forward to providing helpful advice
I’m in charge of Central Michigan Life’s new advice column in the Campus VIBE section.
I want to hear from you.
As a fifth-year student, I have seen everything from exorbitant apartment party fines to the ethics of forging a doctor’s note.
I have gone through five separate majors throughout my college career, and consider myself an unofficial expert in academic advice.
For better or worse, I have experienced just about all one can in my love life, giving me a great background for advising on romantic matters.
If I have not personally gone through what you are going through, I can promise one of my friends has.
There is a lot of love in my family, and also a lot of crazy people.
Much of my wisdom I learned the hard way, up to and including all the places in Mount Pleasant you can leave your car overnight.
I figured this out after more than $400 in towing fees and enough parking tickets to pay a City Commissioner’s salary.
I am very friendly and very open. In my spare time, I like curling up with a good book.
Regardless of the topic of your queries, I would love to help out.
So, what next?
You can contact me in two different ways, depending on your comfort level.
My e-mail address is farre1hl@cmich.edu.
If you wish to submit questions anonymously, you can send them to me through my new Formspring account.
Formspring.me is a Web site where you can send and receive questions without posting your real name. My account is http://formspring.me/HilaryFarrell.
You do not have to provide your real name, but I do ask you create a name (of sorts) for yourself so I can refer to your question later.
Central Michigan Life’s Campus VIBE section prints every Wednesday.
I will pick three to four questions per column.
I will also personally answer questions submitted via e-mail and my Formspring account throughout the week.
Let’s get started!
