UPDATED: Softball doubleheader at Oakland canceled
The weather continues to wreak havoc on the Central Michigan softball team.
Due to unplayable field conditions in Rochester, CMU's doubleheader Wednesday against Oakland University has been canceled. The game, originally scheduled for Tuesday, was postponed to today in hopes that field conditions would improve. An effort will be made to reschedule the pair of games at a later date.
The Chippewas have had their last five games postponed due to inclement weather conditions, including a doubleheader at Indiana Purdue-Fort Wayne last week.
CMU (13-9) opens Mid-American Conference play Friday with a doubleheader against Western Michigan in Kalamazoo.
