Construction across campus closes parking lots, closures to affect traffic

The east side of Central Michigan University's campus will see multiple construction sites pop up in the next two months.

Lot 52 behind Emmons Hall is closed until August 4. Information on why the lot is closed was not available. Calls to CMU officials inquiring why were not returned as of press time.

East Campus Drive will also see some restoration this summer, including the removal and replacing of curbing and sidewalks, as well as paving along East Campus Drive started Monday. The construction is taking place between the entrance to the Central Energy Facility/Combined Services Building and Bellows Street.

Parking lot entrances and traffic along East Campus Drive will be controlled by a worker.

The north entrance to Lot 33N in front of the Music Building will be paved on July 28. Commuters can use the entrances in Lot 33S to access Moore Hall, Bush Theater and the Music Building.
