Mount Pleasant police searching for unknown male suspect in assault case
Mount Pleasant police are hoping community members can help them identify the male suspect of a physical assault case that occurred on Wednesday afternoon.
The suspect is believed to be a white male between 25-to-30 years old with dark hair and blue eyes, according to a press release issued by the Mount Pleasant Police Department.
Police officials added the man weighs between 150-to-160 pounds, and is believed to be, at most, 5 feet 10 inches tall.
According the release, the assault occurred on July 23 near Walnut and Mill streets. The female victim said the suspect approached her from behind and forced her into a grassy area. The suspect then threw her to the ground and engaged in unwarranted sexual contact. He also physically assaulted her in the process.
