Center of Inclusion and Diversity to host exhibit on racial equity

The Office of Diversity Education will host traveling exhibit “We Don’t Want Them: Race and Housing in Metropolitan Detroit, 1900-1968” starting Dec. 3.

The exhibit will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily from Dec. 3 to Dec. 17 in the Center for Inclusion and Diversity.

“We Don’t Want Them” is a part of the Race2Equity Community Engagement Campaign which has toured through Metro Detroit since 2010. The exhibit serves as a tool to illustrate the issues of racial equity in Metro Detroit, according to a flier sent out by the office.

There will be a reception following the Dec. 3 debut in the Center for Inclusion and Diversity. The Dec. 3 showing will run from noon to 4 p.m.
