Snow forces cancelation of Saturday's softball game at Bowling Green

For the second weekend in a row, a snowstorm will prevent the Central Michigan softball team from playing ball.

Due to heavy snowfall in northwest Ohio, CMU's Saturday game at Bowling Green has been cancelled and will not be made up. Three other Mid-American Conference games in Ohio have also been cancelled due to snow.

A doubleheader was originally scheduled for Saturday, but one game was moved to Friday because of the forecasted weather conditions.

The Chippewas lost both games of Friday’s doubleheader to the Falcons, 4-2 and 5-1. Sophomore Hanna Warren started both games with junior pitcher Rachael Knapp out with the flu.

Warren pitched 10 2/3 innings on the day.

CMU sits at 15-20-1 (2-7-1 MAC) in last place in the MAC West Division. The team has twelve games remaining.

Central Michigan travels to Kalamazoo to take on the Broncos on Wednesday. The first pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Other Saturday MAC softball games cancelled

Northern Illinois at Akron

Eastern Michigan at Kent State

Ohio at Toledo
