First half by the numbers: EMU 14, CMU 7


After the first half, Eastern Michigan leads Central Michigan 14-7 at Rynearson Stadium in Ypsilanti.

EMU scored the first points of the game on a 49-yard run by running back Blake Banham. He has already accumulated 94 yards rushing.

The Chippewas' defense was able to force a turnover the following drive with an interception by junior cornerback Amari Coleman. It was his fourth interception of the season. CMU is now tied for second in the Mid-American Conference in interceptions with 12.

EMU was able to extend its lead to 14-0 on a 42-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Brogan Roback to wide receiver Dieuly Aristilde.

CMU's offense fumbled three times in the first half, each of which came on its opening drive. The Chippewas were able to recover the ball each of them, but were forced to punt.

The Chippewas scored their first points when junior running back Devon Spalding scored a touchdown on a one-yard run to bring the score to 14-7 in the second quarter.
