Clements named MAC Gymnast of the Week
Junior Katy Clements earned Mid-American Conference Gymnast of the Week after her performance in a win against rival Kent State Sunday.
Clements performance helped lead Central Michigan a win by one tenth of a point. Clements finished the meet with a top score 9.925 on balance beam, a 9.9 on the floor exercise and a 9.85 on the vault.
In her career at CMU, Clements most consistent event has been the balance beam, and she posting a career-high 9.925 in the victory against the Golden Flashes.
Clements and the Chippewas will be back in action against Bowling Green at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26 at McGuirk Arena.
