Three Chippewas earn honors at Army Invitational

Three members of the Central Michigan volleyball team were named to the All-Tournament team to close out a perfect 3-0 weekend at the Army Invitational.

Senior Jordan Bueter and freshman Grace Butler were name All-Tournament Team. Senior Paige Carey was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.

Butler had 135 assists on the weekend while Bueter and Carey combined 85 kills for the Chippewas.

CMU defeated St. Francis Brooklyn 3-0 and Hartford 3-1 on Friday before defeating Army in 5th set 15-12 to finish the weekend undefeated.

The Chippewas return to action next weekend as the team heads to Fairfax, Virginia to play in the George Mason Invitational to face Penn, Campbell, George Mason and Houston.
