The College of Humanities and Social and Behavioral Sciences is hosting a creative writing reading from 8-9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28 in the Charles V. Park Library Barber Room.

The event “A Reading by Jeffrey Bean and Matt Roberson,” will include a fiction, short-story reading by Matt Roberson and a reading from Jeffrey Bean’s brand new book of poems.

Roberson and Bean are both faculty members in the Department of English Language and Literature.

Roberson said it’s an opportunity for people on campus and members of the community to hear the kind of works the creative faculty here at Central Michigan University is focusing on.

Anyone interested in the creative writing community and sharing the experience of literature is encouraged to attend the reading, Roberson said.

(It's a) great chance for people who are genuinely interested in hearing poetry and fiction come off the page,” Roberson said.

The event is free and open to the public.
