Campbell Hall shooting suspect moved to Isabella County Jail

According to the Isabella County JailTracker, James Eric Davis Jr. was moved to the Isabella County Jail and booked at 4:10 p.m. on March 7.

Davis has been charged with shooting and killing his parents — James Eric Davis Sr. and Diva Jeneen Davis — at about 8:30 a.m. March 2 on the fourth floor of Campbell Hall. After a 15-hour manhunt, Davis Jr. was found after a tip from a train employee.

Davis Jr. was previously being held at McLaren Central Michigan hospital for medical treatment for hypothermia.

He is charged with two counts of homicide-open murder and one count of possession of firearm to commit a murder.

Davis Jr. was arraigned on March 6 in Isabella County Trial Court and appeared over video since he was still being held at the hospital. He did not enter a plea at the arraignment and his bond was lowered from $3 million to $1.25 million.

Davis' next court date will be at 8:15 a.m. on April 5, according to the booking information.
