Central Michigan's football team, led by coach Jim McElwain, prepares to take the field against Buffalo on Oct. 26 at UB Stadium in Buffalo, New York.

Five of the last six games have ended in wins for the Central Michigan football team.

Dating back to Oct. 5, a 42-16 win against Eastern Michigan, the Chippewas have put themselves in a position to have a chance at the Mid-American Conference West Division title for a spot in the MAC Championship game.

If Western Michigan loses to Northern Illinois on Nov. 26 and CMU earns a win in the season finale Nov. 29 against Toledo at Kelly/Shorts Stadium, first-year coach Jim McElwain will be headed to Ford Field for the conference championship.

Sitting at 7-4 overall and 5-2 in the MAC, the Chippewas are essentially a lock to make a bowl game.

In the last nine years, Central Michigan has played in the 2010 GMAC Bowl, 2012 Little Caesars Pizza Bowl, 2014 Bahamas Bowl, 2015 Quick Lane Bowl, 2016 Miami Beach Bowl and 2017 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.

But where will McElwain and the Chippewas end up this year?

Following Central Michigan's bye week heading into its regular season finale against Toledo, here are bowl projections for the Chippewas.
