The Office of Student Activities and Involvement (SAI) will have some new people in leadership positions this semester.

Dani Rossman is stepping up to serve as interim director of student activities and involvement, which was held by Damon Brown since 2012. Brown will be transferring to Alma College this semester to assume the role of vice president for student affairs.

Rossman will assume leadership of the office following Brown's departure next week. Her most recent position was assistant director for student organizations at CMU.

"I have great confidence in Dani and know that she is well prepared to serve this role," Associate Vice President for Student Affairs Tony Voisin said in an email.

Earlier this month Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer A.T. Miller announced he would be leaving CMU. President Bob Davies appointed the Executive Director of University Recreation and Student Activities Stan Shingles to fill the gap until a new administrator is hired.

Jen Nottingham will take Shingles' position in the SAI office for the time being. In addition to her roles in university recreation, Nottingham will supervise the SAI office and work closely with the CMU eSports program.

"I know that while we are losing two incredible people from the student affairs leadership team I believe that both Jen and Dani will pick up right where Stan and Damon left off," Voisin said in his email.
