Central Michigan junior right-handed pitcher Jordan Patty was named Mid-American Conference Pitcher of the Week for his performance in a 1-0 win over Bowling Green on April 10.

Patty threw a complete game shutout against the Falcons, allowing four hits and two walks while striking out seven. The win was his third of the season, which ranks second on the team. He has now thrown 18 2/3 consecutive innings of scoreless baseball.

Last season, Patty was enjoying a phenomenal start to the season before it was shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic. Patty was 3-0 with a 0.72 earned run average in four starts in 2020.

Currently, the Chippewas are second in the MAC, sitting at 17-9 overall and holding a 9-3 mark in conference play.

CMU will play  No. 10 Notre Dame at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Frank Eck Stadium in South Bend, Indiana. J.T. Rogoszewski will start for the Chippewas, while Liam Simon will make his first start of the season for the Fighting Irish.
