Wayside Central is welcoming back Jersey Shore's DJ Pauly D to perform on Jan. 20.

Pauly D has performed at Wayside Central multiple times in the past with his last concert being in 2018.

Doors will open at 9 p.m. and Pauly D will perform around midnight after opening performances by local DJs Beebs and Stevlth with support from touring artist Zaandr.

Wayside Central is close to selling its ticket capacity of 800 tickets. However, Wayside Central Owner John Hunter says more tickets may be available depending on possible refunds.

Besides being a DJ, Pauly D found some fame on the reality television show, "Jersey Shore".  Leading up his Mount Pleasant show, he has been touring venues in Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Philadelphia.

Hunter said he noticed Pauly D brought in not only Central Michigan University students, but also people willing to travel to see him perform.

"The energy is great. He brings a really different crowd like you'd be surprised...It's probably our one concert of the year that isn't predominately students - it's like a mixture of everyone," Hunter said.

Hunter said he's is looking forward to hosting this performance for the community and seeing the excitement of those who attend.

"I'm excited to be able to bring events to the students of Central," Hunter said. "I want to continue to try to bring entertainment to the Mid-Michigan area."
