CMU men's basketball takes down Western Michigan

Looking to get a third straight win, Central Michigan men's basketball suited up in all gold to take take on rival Western Michigan Thursday in McGuirk Arena. 

The Chippewas (5-13, 4-3) took down the Broncos (4-18, 0-11) 65-55.  

The Broncos were looking to end their 11-game losing streak by shutting down the Chippewas. The Broncos struck first on the Chippewas, sending them into an eight-point deficit early in the game. 

Four minutes into the second half CMU picked it up scoring its first three-point shot of the game despite going 0-for-6 in the first half. The Chippewas were fired up from beyond the arc shooting, ripping the lead from the Broncos and securing their lead. 

Cameron Healy had a game-high 23 points and six rebounds. Miller was not far behind with 18 points and six assists. 

Lamar Norman Jr. led the way for the Broncos with 18 points and Mileek McMillan with 10. Markeese Hastings led the way with 10 rebounds. 

The Chippewas will host Buffalo on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. following the women at 1 p.m.
