Elizabeth Cesarone receives MAC specialist of the week
The Mid-American Conference announced Tuesday that junior Central Michigan gymnast Elizabeth Cesarone was named MAC specialist of the week.
The award came after her career-best performance on vault at West Virginia on March 5 with a 9.925 beating her previous high score of 9.875 she set her freshman year.
Central Michigan placed second at the meet and recorded a season high score of 196.500.
This is the fourth MAC weekly award for the Chippewas this season adding onto senior Hannah DeMers’ three MAC gymnast of the week accolades.
CMU will travel to Kent, Ohio on Sunday to compete against Kent State at 1:00 p.m.
