The Central Michigan women's basketball team has forfeited the upcoming Mid-American Conference match against Kent State. CMU lacks eligible players coming off a stronger win against Miami (Ohio).

The Chippewas will receive a loss, giving Kent State a victory. While their conference record will take a loss, overall records will not be affected. This leaves CMU in ninth place and still on a two-game winning streak.

CMU will now return home to face Toledo, who currently ranks second in the MAC, on Wednesday with a chance to climb the standings as the season continues.
