CMU falls to the Broncos
The Battle for the Victory Cannon returned to Mt. Pleasant on a Saturday for the first time in eight years this weekend, and resulted in a 21-14 loss against Western Michigan. Central outperformed Western in yards, with 337 yards of offense opposed to WMU’s 272, however a sluggish first half led the Chippewas in a 14-0 deficit. Two late touchdowns helped CMU rally, but was not enough to overcome the stampede of the Broncos. CMU returns back to Kelly/Shorts Stadium next Saturday, Oct. 24 to face Miami (OH).
