Shepherd Maple Syrup Festival
Thousands of people flocked to the village of Shepherd over the weekend to enjoy live music, tractor/car shows, educational tours and most importantly: maple syrup and pancakes during the 68th annual Shepherd Maple Syrup Festival, held in Shepherd, Michigan from Thursday, April 23, to Sunday, April 26, 2026. The festival is an effort to showcase community history through food, family and fun. Attendees also enjoyed shopping with various vendors, helicopter rides, horse pulls and a weekend-long carnival.
The famous syrup is produced by the Shepherd Sugar Bush Corp, which sells its goods during the festival. Festival-goers also enjoyed it during all-you-can-eat breakfasts and a pancake-eating competition.
