Good luck

We should all take a minute and admire what's going on right now in Traverse City.

About 3,000 athletes, coaches volunteers are participating in the Special Olympics State Winter Games, which began Tuesday and conclude Friday.

More than 70 volunteers are from CMU, where the Special Olympics Michigan branch is located.

These people need to be commended for the hard work and dedication they are putting in to help the 1,000 athletes who are competing in the winter games.

With the recent rash of crime sweeping the Mount Pleasant area, it's good to know there are people in this world who take time out of their busy schedules to help such a wonderful cause.

As for the athletes, few people can ever match the will and determination these people put forth every day. And they always do it with a smile, win or lose.

We all can learn something from these wonderful people.
