BLOG: Trey Zeigler included in SI.com's 'Top 16 Impact Freshman'

The hype surrounding Trey Zeigler and the Central Michigan men's basketball program continues.

CMU's highly-acclaimed recruit from Mount Pleasant High School was listed No. 15 on SI.com's "Top 16 Impact Freshman" photo gallery posted on Tuesday.

SI.com noted all of Zeigler's accolades, saying, "(He) should immediately be the best wing scorer — if the not the best overall player — in the MAC this season."

Zeigler, a 6-foot-5, 196-pound shooting guard, finished runner up for the 2010 Michigan Mr. Basketball Award. He averaged 24.3 points and 10.5 rebounds per game as a senior last year.

Duke, Michigan and UCLA expressed heavy interest in Zeigler, who made the decision on April 14 to attend CMU and play for his father, CMU head coach Ernie Zeigler.
