Crystal Bradford was on the sideline when her team lost its last two games this season. Despite her injury, it was a season to remember.

The Women's Basketball Coaches Association is looking past her absence at the end of the season, nominating Bradford to the Region Four All-America team.

Bradford is among 52 players nationwide who have been nominated for the honor. The selection committee will then narrow the field to 10 players who will make the All-America team.

It is the second consecutive year the junior guard has been nominated for the honor. She was also MAC Player of the Year as well as MAC Defensive Player of the Year, leading the team in scoring, rebounding, assists, steals and blocks this season. She was second in the conference in rebounds with 354 and the first player in MAC history to record multiple triple-doubles in a single season.

After suffering a season-ending knee injury in the few days prior to the conference tournament, she and her team saw its season end quicker than expected.

Bradford scored 588 total points for the Chippewas en route to breaking the single-season school scoring record. Accounting for virtually one-fourth of the team's total offense, she led CMU to a 16-2 conference record, including an undefeated home record during regular season play and CMU's first MAC West Division Championship in program history.
