Students of different backgrounds to mingle, network at International Connections

A program geared at connecting international students with U.S. born students will be taking place from 7-8:30 p.m. March 30 in Kulhavi 141 and 142.

Known as "International Connections," the program is organized by Kesseler Hall multicultural adviser Areil Henderson and Wheeler Hall multicultural adviser Cody Sapp.

It will give international and U.S. students an opportunity to meet one another and connect on common ground through various hands-on activities.

"Our goal is to get international students and American students connected with one another because we do have a high population of students from different countries that we may not get to see, and I feel it's really important to increase the retention rate at Central to make sure those students feel welcomed and comfortable," Henderson said. "It provides an opportunity for those American students to meet people that are from different countries."

Food from Jimmy Johns and Insomnia Cookies will be provided, as well as a variety of beverages.
