COLUMN: Goodbye, for now

opinion

As I prepare to clean out my desk at Central Michigan Life, complete my final paper routes and turn over my keys, I can't help but reflect on the past six semesters I spent on the fourth floor of Moore Hall.

It is now time to leave my second home. Being part of the CM Life family has transformed me into so much more than I had ever anticipated.

I owe my greatest college accomplishments to CM Life, including earning two national No. 1 awards in back-to-back years. This would never have been possible without those I have been honored to work with every day.

I have no doubt that for a long time, I will think of CM Life on a daily basis.

I have been given the opportunity to help businesses grow in the Mount Pleasant area and surrounding communities. This is a pretty empowering accomplishment.

Hard work and dedication to cooperation with my clients has been key to my success. I have embraced that challenge. As the advertising industry is constantly changing, we at CM Life must change with it, in an attempt to stay innovative.

I have been given the opportunity to shape a staff and teach these individuals to be successful. I strived to fuel the CM Life passion in each one of them.

This job is not accomplished without passion. The passion I have for CM Life has pushed me to work to my highest potential during my three years at this media company.

I have been pushed to my limits, cried numerous times and faced objection. But it has been worth it, all of it.

The memories, friendship and guidance I have received here I will remember forever.

The fourth floor of Moore Hall holds a special place in my heart. No. 1 in the nation is a darn good way to leave this place. Anything is possible with dedication and passion.

Goodbye for now, fourth floor of Moore.
