Wednesday's baseball game against Oakland postponed due to weather

Due to weather conditions, Central Michigan baseball's game against Oakland scheduled Wednesday has been postponed.

A makeup date has not yet been announced.

The game was scheduled to begin at 3:05 p.m. at Theunissen Stadium.

This is the second game the Chippewas (6-23, 1-2 Mid-American Conference) have had interrupted due to poor weather this season. The team's game against Kent State on March 25 was also rescheduled due to weather. That game ended up being played in Grand Rapids.

CMU will travel to Northern Illinois (7-20, 3-3 MAC) this weekend for a three-game series against the Huskies starting on Friday.

The Chippewas are coming off a home win against Saginaw Valley State on Tuesday, a game that broke a five-game losing streak. It was CMU's third time losing five or more games in a row in 2016. CMU did not lose more than three straight last season.

CMU went 1-1 against Oakland last season, winning at Theunissen Stadium 12-4 and losing at Oakland's Baseball Field 5-3.
