Former CMU football player advances to 'Dancing With the Stars' quarterfinals

Former Chippewa standout football player Antonio Brown has danced his way into the quarterfinals of ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" on Monday night.

The two-time All-American punt returner and his partner, Sharna Burgess, performed a tango set to the Rolling Stones' "Paint It Black", a performance that required Brown to change his persona.

Brown has frequently flashed his smile while dancing on the show, but he changed to a more serious demeanor this week because of the song choice.

In the pairs last performance, Brown's dance moves were overshadowed by his partner's wardrobe malfunction, which became center of attention in the news.

Brown's score of 24 tied Denver Broncos All-Pro Linebacker Von Miller's for the lowest score of the week.

Unlike Miller, Brown's fan vote was able to keep him on the show, despite the low score he received from his performance.

The quarterfinals round will take place next Monday.
