In the wake of five cyclists being killed and four injured in an accident near Kalamazoo on June 7, the Central Michigan for LIVESTRONG Foundation is hosting a unified "Ride of Silence" on June 15.

The group of bicyclists, which included the mother of a Central Michigan University student-athlete, was struck by a pickup truck on a road in Cooper Township, just 30 minutes into their weekly group ride last Tuesday.

Wednesday's ride begins at 6 p.m. in Island Park in Downtown Mount Pleasant. Island Park is located at 331 N. Main St.
