RAPID REACTION: Buffalo 99, CMU 93


The Central Michigan men's basketball team lost their second game in a row falling to Buffalo by a score of 99-93 at McGuirk Arena Tuesday. 

Junior guard Marcus Keene broke the CMU single-season scoring record during tonight's game. The record was previously held by Dan Majerle.

Keene struggled in the first half, only scoring four points from free throws and didn't make a field goal. In the second half, Keene caught fire. He finished the game with 27 points on six-of-18 shooting. 

Senior guard Braylon Rayson tied the game with a four-point play with just over a minute to go, but the Chippewas couldn't hold on. 

Six Buffalo Bulls scored in double digits against the Chippewas. Bulls scoring was lead by Willie Connor who had 22 points.

This loss brings the Chippewas record to 16-10 on the season and 6-7 in the Mid-American Conference. 

CMU takes on Ball State at 4:30 p.m on February 18 at McGuirk Arena.
