The Mount Pleasant Police Department has released photos the two male suspects who robbed a Shell gas station early Sunday morning.

Police arrived at the Shell gas station, 718 S. Mission St., at approximately 3:16 a.m. for an armed robbery, according to the release. Officers gathered evidence and interviewed the night clerk who was working.

The clerk described the suspects as two black males, both between 5-feet-6 inches and 5-feet-8 inches tall, according to the press release. One of the suspects had a slender build and the other had a thin build.

The clerk said the thin-build suspect was wearing a white ski mask, a dark-hooded sweatshirt and dark clothes. The robber “acted as if” he had a gun in his possession, but never mentioned a weapon or showed it, the clerk stated in the release.

The second suspect was described as wearing a black face mask, a light-colored hooded sweatshirt and red shoes. The two took an undisclosed amount of money and escaped, according to the release.

The investigation is still open.
