Students and residents will be able to get professional photos from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. April 13 at Finch Fieldhouse Room 113.

An individual and group package will be offered for $5 and $4, respectively. The individual package will include three headshots and a group package will include four group pictures of up to four people.

The photos will be taken by professional photographer Michael Armstrong, who will also edit the photos. All proceeds will be donated to Habitat for Humanity.

A group of five students organized Finally Photos for their RPL 430 class assignment

Novi native Clare Backus, a junior in recreation and event management, is part of the group organizing the event. She said they wanted to provide an “inexpensive” way for students to get professional photos and for local families to get photos for Easter.

“We didn’t want to do something that’s been done before,” Backus said. “One of our group members’ dad is a professional photographer and we decided to utilize that resource.”

Backus said many students don’t have the resources to get professional photographs. They also wanted to provide a way for families to get photos together.

Each person who gets their photo taken will also receive two raffle tickets for a chance to win gift cards. Those waiting will also be able to enjoy games such as cornhole.
