Basketball Head Coach Keno Davis talks to the media after the Maroon and Gold Scrimmage on Oct. 19 at McGuirk Arena.

Following hurricanes in Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico, the Central Michigan men’s basketball is attempting to help those affected.

Head coach Keno Davis and the Chippewas will travel to Rochester for a hurricane-relief game against Oakland University on Sunday.

The game will have open seating for the public. Admission is $10 for non-Oakland students. The proceeds will go to relief programs for the recent hurricanes.

CMU will tip-off against the Golden Grizzles at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 29 at the O’Rena.

Throughout the preseason, many college basketball teams have made efforts to raise money for hurricane-relief, including Kansas, Missouri, Tulane, LSU, Kansas State, Marquette, UConn, Creighton, Notre Dame, Baylor, Houston, Michigan State, and Georgia.

Kansas and Missouri played an exhibition contest last week, which raised over 1.8 million dollars.
