"Unwritten: An Evening of Crisis Stories Live On Stage" will be presented by Central Review at 7 p.m. April 10 in the Bovee Center Rotunda.

The live storytelling event is focused on one theme: crisis. The event is based on The Moth and Storycorps, both groups that host storytelling events. Jeff Fisher, Eve Page, Alysha Daley and Quinn Kirby will be performing their stories. Free food will also be provided at the event.

Central Review Editor-in-Chief and Marysville senior Delany Lemke, who will also be performing at the event, said speakers were chosen from written submissions and based on how compelling the stories were.

"I really believe in the power of storytelling, and listening to other people's experiences," Lemke said. "You get to learn about things that you have never experienced yourself."

Lemke said she is looking forward to witnessing audience reactions. She said she put on this event because she wants a place where students can share experiences and bond with others over them.

The event was originally scheduled for March 12, but was changed after the March 2 shooting in Campbell Hall. The group made the call to reschedule since the show would have been the first day students would have been back on campus from spring break and wanted to let students adjust following the shooting.

"We are here to celebrate stories," Lemke said.

Central Review is a literary journal featuring art, prose and poetry that is published in the fall and spring semesters. A reading featuring work from the spring edition of Central Review will be presented at the event.
