Downtown Mount Pleasant Memorial Day parade to honor veterans May 28
To help honor those who sacrificed their lives serving in the United States military and observe the Memorial Day holiday, a parade is scheduled May 28 in downtown Mount Pleasant.
Hosted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3033 the parade begins at 10 a.m. at 709 E. Broadway St. The route will travel west through Broadway to Main St. From there, a bus will be available to visit Riverside Cemetery, Calvary Cemetery and the Memorial Gardens, to visit veterans grave sites.
There will be no road closures during the parade. Temporary traffic delays may occur.
